A spokesperson for Axel Springer told CNN on Sunday that the German publishing powerhouse was satisfied with the review Business Insider had completed. “We stand by Business Insider and its newsroom,” the spokesperson said.

The publication was originally named “Silicon Alley Insider” when it was launched in 2007, focusing on coverage of the New York business community, before changing its name to Business Insider two years later.
